Good Hope School has always emphasized on creating international exchange opportunities for Hopers to broaden their horizons. Through these exchange programmes, not only can they make friends with people from around the world, but also deepen their understanding of the cultures and traditions of different countries.
We have established strong partnerships with schools in Shanghai, Beijing, Japan, the Netherlands, Australia and Singapore in the last decade. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, a lot of overseas exchange programmes could not be held as usual. Nevertheless, the Covid-19 pandemic has led to the inauguration of new exchange programmes involving the use of online communication platforms.
Some examples include, the Virtual Student Exchange Programme (VSEP) organized by The Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) and Youth Overseas Exchange Centre, as well as the Collaborative Online International Learning programme (COIL) established in recent years.
These virtual exchange programmes have allowed students to engage in cultural exchanges and form ever-lasting friendships despite the restrictions of the pandemic and physical distance.
