From 21 June to 25 June, 20 S1-5 students participated in the Shanghai exchange programme. It was a fun experience for all of us. We spent the first two days with our Shanghai buddies. They showed us around the city and introduced us to many fascinating places.
On the third day, we visited Shanghai Normal University. The guide introduced us to the essential pieces of information on the school’s background and functionalities. Through our visit to the University’s museum, we gained insight into the struggles local Shanghai people faced in the past and how they overcame those challenges. We also observed the different study strategies Shanghai students use to learn.
The fourth day was the highlight of the trip — we went to Shanghai Disneyland! We enjoyed fun rides, watched amazing shows, and took lots of photos to capture the magical moments, laughing and sharing stories as we explored the park together. It was a day full of laughter, joy and unforgettable memories that we will cherish for years to come.
On the last day, we tried our hand at traditional Chinese crafts. We made beautiful glass hairpins and wood chip paintings. Although it was a bit challenging and required so much concentration, we all brought home unique souvenirs and experiences.
This trip offers us a great opportunity to learn, make new friends, and explore Shanghai. We will always cherish this wonderful experience!
