With aims to allow participants of the exchange program from both Good Hope School and La Salle College to familiarize themselves with each other, as well as the culture of the Netherlands, we hosted a series of ice-breaking activities on 9/9 prior to their departure.
Highlights of the ice-breaking activity included an interactive game of “Splat”, and "Jeopardy," a trivia game based on a famous game show. In the game, we tested participants on their knowledge of the Netherlands, details of the exchange programme, and also explored some differences between Good Hope and La Salle.
It was very rewarding to see participants actively engaging in our activities, while also knowing more about the country they will be visiting. The preparation process also gave us the chance to delve into traditional Dutch culture, and many of the fun facts we have researched will definitely stick with us for a while!
