To develop students’ research, analytical and literacy skills, twenty two students from our school joined the UK Leader’s Project from 25 July to 7 August, as they stayed at Epsom College to explore the beautiful city of London, its university campus life, and to learn more about the English Language, Literature, and theatrical performance.

Workshops!!

With dedicated and passionate teachers guiding them along the way, students polished their writing skills through producing a range of academic, persuasive, and creative writings. Additionally, they honed their speaking abilities through delivering speeches and daily interaction with native English speakers. With greater confidence in communicating with others, students have enhanced their English oral proficiency. A number of singing, dancing, and choral speaking workshops further encouraged them to step out of their comfort zones and be more expressive.

The Royal Courts of Justice

Students were also privileged to be able to explore London, marvelling at the majestic architectures of the Royal Courts of Justice and the Houses of Parliament, enjoying the performances in the Globe and West End Theatre, and shopping at the beautiful Covent Garden.

Being able to form new friendships and interact with loving and passionate teachers was also incredibly meaningful. Students expressed gratitude for having the chance to create such beautiful memories throughout this adventure, and they all felt deeply how profound experiences and encounters can change one’s life for the better.
